15 years ago, I was living a fairly nice life in the south of France, however every chance I got, I’d escape to Italy for vacation. There was just something about this country that held my fascination. Perhaps it was the relaxed pace of life, or the intense blue of the sky or maybe it was the earthy, wholesome food, but the pull for me was too strong to resist. Two years later, my bags were packed and I left for Italy, never turning back and never regretting for a moment that life changing decision.
So I’m a self declared Italia-file. Being a great lover of all things Italian, I started a small event planning business that would allow me to share with people from all over the world one of a kind Italian experiences. I got to introduce people to my favorite wineries, the best cheese shops, and the most gorgeous noble villas. Fast forward to 2016 and now I see that this Italy lover phenomenon is not just limited to Europeans or Americans but extends to now include people from far off places such as Japan, India and China. I am lucky to be able to introduce people to all of the wonderful, life giving bounty that Italy has to offer.
For those longing to know what it’s like to host a wedding in Italy, I’d thought I’d create this blog to help nurture your curiosity as well as give you some helpful pointers along the way. More than anything, I’d like to encourage you to take the journey, as I’m sure you’ll find, as I have, that the leap into Italy is a worthwhile one to take.
